I have programmed a few things in Visual Basic with OpenGL earlier. But after looking at tutorials it seemed they didn't help. So I switched to C++ and i am getting a compiling error. It is: Fatal Error: unable to open input file 'gl/gl.h' --- error level 1 My headers are: #include <windows.h> #include <gl/gl.h> #include <gl/glu.h> I am not sure what to do now... any help?

its not that hard to work out.

you include them using:

#include <gl/gl.h>

so its looking in your default header directory but in the gl sub folder

ie "C:\Program FIles\Visual Studio\Includes\gl" or whever.

just unzip all of the files in zips to there. and any .libs go in the library (or lib) folder.

look in your compiler's program directory for a directory named "include" open it
make a new folder called "gl"
put the header there

Have you linked in the OpenGL libraries? [smile]
Since you include gl.h and glu.h you need to link OpenGL32.lib and GLu32.lib. You should be able to find the files and they, like the include files, goes in for example C:\your-program-folder\your-environment\lib\
