Make skybox less 'blocky'

Hi friends, I've done a skybox for my space game, it just consists of a few stars and some nebulae, but it looks blocky. The bitmaps are 512x512, should I increase the size of them to make them appear smoother or how do you make them look less blocky ? Kind regards, Steve

Hi there,
I presume you added some filters?
The samplerstate filters should make a huge difference if there are none.
Another point to look at is your textures or maybe creating a SkyDome(Also a form of a skybox) depending on how you view the world.

Setting the D3DSAMP_ADDRESSU and D3DSAMP_ADDRESSV sampler states to D3DTADDRESS_CLAMP will help your skybox to look more continuous. Remember to set those states back to D3DTADDRESS_WRAP before rendering other geometry.
