easyer linking to SDL

right now when ever i want to make a new project in sdl i have to copy all the SDL .h files to that folder along witht the dll is there any way i can make this easyer becuase if i continue to do this it will eat up alot more memory then it needs to thnx

You weren't too specific about your environemtn so I'm going to be guessing a bit.
I'll assume you use windows, in which case put the DLLs in C:\windows\System32 where windows looks for DLLs whenever it runs a program.
As for the .h files, the convention is to putthem in [compiler folder]\include\SDL\ and to specify that as an include search directory, or you can just put them all in the include folder.

you guessed right
but i am putting them in the include folder but it still dosnt include them or look for them there

never mind i was forgetting to include the directory in my project but thanks for the help

i was including the entire include file and my compiler didnt like that it only wanted the folder that was relevent

That's strange. Have you tried specifying the directory they're in as an include directory?
