Hi there! Well, I wanted to ask a question, which is the following: What do i need in order to start programming in C ? I have some experience in Visual Basic, but now i'm reading a book of C/C++ programming. For example, can i use Visual C++, or Visual Studio? or some of those tools?

There are many different IDEs, some are free, some are quite expensive. Visual Studio is very nice but it isn't at all cheap, though it's pretty much the standard. There are several free compilers out there like gcc but they make debugging a lot harder than Visual Studio (Visual C++ is the C++ component of Visual Studio, which you may be able to buy separately depending on version). You can also get student editions of most expensive compilers, but they tend to have limitations, like not allowing you to distribute, and nag screens on your apps. So, figure out what you're willing to pay, and what you're willing to put up with.
