are there more cards which support OGL or D3D ? are there cards which support both ? do many games support both ?

Are you talking about professional 3D cards or normal video cards (like the ones you would use to play games)? Most professional cards are specialized for OpenGL (e.g. Oxygen GVX420). Gaming cards like the ATI Radeon or any card based on nVidia''s GeForce2 GPU are more balanced between OpenGL and D3D.
