Alpha Fading....

Hello. I have a program in which my user interface is made up of several Direct3D textures on the screen. The textures are ARGB32 so they are already using their alpha channel to achieve transparency on the texture. What I need to do it to be able to fade specfic textures from their start state to completely transparent, is this possible? I fear that I would have to reduce the alpha of each pixel until they are all 0? Is this the case? Thanks in advance for any help. Mark Coleman
