Portal question again!

I've got my automatic portal generator for quake maps almost working : http://home.hccnet.nl/pj.holverda/portal_issues/owh_hoe_geil.jpg some issues still remain, but they are solvable. The main issue is, is that portal generation, is extremely slow as a reference i use this (very interesting )tutorial. http://members.net-tech.com.au/alaneb/portals_tutorial.html The main reason why it's so incedibly slow is that in this document every newly created portal( from a NODE ) will be clipped by every other nodes plane( in case of a Spanning ) but imagine a level with consist of millions of nodes, this method will be running for days, even the level on the picture took about 35 seconds( only portal generation ). So I believe there should be a faster method. I've gone already through the quake III sources but it's not very documented( and my c++ skills are almost zero ). cheers, Paul
