At this moment "Nov 2004", how reliable is ATI(x800) with glsl? Does ati implements all glsl or just parts? Thanks.

AFAIK it does profile-2.0 shaders just fine and dandy; no caveats I've come across. Unfortunately, they don't have any profile-3.0 hardware out. (In contrast, the GeForce 6800 supports profile-3.0 shaders.) If you need any of the (relatively few) features that it offers, you may be out of luck.

He's right, there are relatively few new features added. They just happen to be a few very useful features.

Well, I agree with you there.... I wouldn't be working on a 6800 if I didn't need them. However, it bears mentioning that we managed to do really cool-looking shaders before it came out. [smile]
