I just bought a book on Java and I downloaded Eclipse for a compiler, and I must say, this this an excellent comipler. I have a few issues though with it: 1. How do I stop it from spell checking? I keep getting red swiggly marks while I'm writing my code, even though its propper syntax. It gets to my nerves lol. 2. How can I get the String data type to highlight to a blue color? Every data type highlights to blue except for String. Any help is appreciated.

1. If it marks it red, your statement is probably not complete (or syntactically wrong.. or you're missing an import). Maybe there's some way to turn it off.. just started using eclipse myself, so I don't know.

2. String is not a basic type, it's a class. Well, java has some String specific features to simplify using the class, but it's still a class, not a basic type.
