image recognition in cell phones

Recommended Posts

1) Look up the javadoc for the Graphics and Image classes. What you see is what you get, and it's basically nothing (under MIDP 1 anyway).
2) That's nothing to do with image recognition as far as I can tell... O_O

On the Nokia Series60 platform there is a set of extensions called DirectGraphics that will allow you to create get and modify raw pixel data under the Series60 platform.

Be careful though, in my experience the DIrectGraphics library can be less than fast, particulalry if you are using drawPixels or getPixels every frame.

Here is a JavaDoc for DirectGraphics Clicky!

And here is a JavaDoc for DirectUtils, which you will need to set up DirectGraphics. Clicky!

check newlc.com ->forums ->graphics.. topic discussed there recently.

You can get raw data for every created/loaded bitmap and manipulate it like will in C++/ASM just like on desktop computers

(I'm talking about symbian based cellphones)
