XFile from Max with animation crashes

I've read a lot of threads here lately that concern animation with X files but I've found nothing that directly concerns my issue, so if I missed it, my apologies for the repost. I made a model in 3dsmax using biped. If I do the walk-cycle feature of biped to animate a walk-cycle and export that to a .x file it loads just fine into my program (C#-DX9). However, if I make my own animation by moving biped's bones and keyframing it myself and export that to a .x file, my program crashes when it attempts to load said .x file. Any ideas on why this happens and how I can fix this? All comments are much appreciated.

I could put your model into my engine, it supports x file rendering with animations. i have been using max for the past two weeks modeling and animating out to my engine. so i havent found a flaw yet, look forward to testing with someone else's models as well :)
