Which is more efficient? Stencilling or Clipping Plane?

I want to implement clipping in D3D. But I don't know which is the most efficient way? Stencilling or Clipping Plane? Anyone can tell me?

Clipping planes clip the geometry before it goes to rasterizer, stencil masks clip the already-rasterized pixels.
Which is faster is determined by where your bottleneck is - at either geometry setup or fillrate. Profiling time [smile]
