the graphics of WorldOfWarcraft

so, now that WorldOfWarcraft has reached its Open Beta Phase I guess a lot of people are playing it by now. I was looking a bit more at the graphical aspect of the game and especially the lighting and shadows. to me it looks like as if they still dont use any global light source and therefore also no shading. just some lightmap tricks. is this true? and are the shadows on the terrain really calculated shadows or is it just a texture trick?

It's use of fancy graphics is limited, no doubt of that. Anyways, in my experience I was able to clearly see one shader, and that was a little bit of a specular highlight on some of the cobblestone streets (really good example that sticks out in my mind: the road leading up to Ironforge).
