Hi, I created a chessboard texture (black and white) and mapped it on to a triangle. The resulting texture I get is blended with the color of the triangle. For example I map the texture onto a Green Triangle then the texture is rendered as Black and Green instead of black and white. Why does this happen? Should the texture mapping not be independent of the polygon color? Thanks. Sriram.

By Default Opengl Modulates Textures by the polygon color, you can turn that off by useing

glTexEnvi(GL_TEXTURE_ENV_MODE,GL_REPLACE);

but it shouldn't be a problem, just make your poly color white.
