Iv worked on projects programming large websites, games, and technologies. I have allways found it hard because everyone is so unorganized. Does anyone konw of any programs or tools that can help with managing projects, the data on servers, each techs job, and current position in dev. Anything to help manage and keep organized. I do a variety of projects from website and game programming to amature rocket engineering projects.

One of the best free ones of seen is probably phpGroupWare. It's quite extensive and caters to most of your managment needs. Checkout sourceforge.net and freshmeat for 'Group Ware' and 'Project Managment'.

I'm yet to find some good gantt and timeline managment tools if you come across some please let me know.

Well if you mean a MS Project style product then check out Open Workbench (http://www.openworkbench.org/) which is an open source PM product.

Thanks, both of the links are really good. The phpgroupware looks great, I can implement that right on my website im designing.

There's also a couple of cross-platform open-source ones around, e.g. http://sourceforge.net/ganttlet - although the x-platform ones are all noticeably behind MS Project in terms of features (they have the core subsets of features). Most of the open-source effort went into openworkbench and the GNOME one - both of which are single-platform IIRC, which is fricking stupid for a proj-mgmt app - it's like having a single-platform UML editor :(.
