Java Tutorials
Anyone know of any good tutorials for Java for like a really really big newbie lol
? I started java and so I'd like to start small like just learning how to creat a sprite and moving him around just some really basic things. Hope someone can help me out ;)
I was also wondering just say to create a circle and have that as a sort of character to move around. How would I create that and have it to be able to move across the screen with me controlling it. Lol i dunno If Im making any sence but I hope you get the picture and someone can help me out! thanks
you should definitely look into a book called: Java Software Solutions by Lewis & Loftus. it is an extremely good and allows to follow with very little difficulty. I recommend it for anyone learning Java, even if they have prior experience with C or C++.
i don't know how much exprinice you have, if your completely new to programming then you'll probably want to focus on learning the language your using the facilities it has (standard library it comes with) & learning to program in general before moving on, if go on java's website you'll find out nearly all you need there are tutorials & references etc.
Read THE book. Thinking in Java, 3rd Edition, by Bruce Eckel. It's free online, available in PDF, HTML, or Word format, and a *great* book for learning Java.
I've got it available for preview on my website at http://www.schkerke.com/eckel/tij-3rd-edition4.0/html/TIJ3.htm.
