Hi all! I've been trying to figure out if Visual Studio .Net is able to produce executables that do NOT use the .Net framework. My University offers both .Net and VC6 for download through the Academic Alliance (or something like that), but since the downloads are rather big, I'd prefer not downloading something I can't properly use afterwards. I've got XP running on one comp, but I want to make executables runnable on my older 98se machine as well. * Thanks for the help! Zen edit: *Without installing the .Net framework for win98!

Yes, the .NET compilers will compile native (non .NET framework) C++ applications.
