ViewVolume Clip Planes?

How to get the clipping planes of the view frustum in view space (or the camera clip planes)? What is the advantage of this method over calculating them and transforming the equations by the modelview matrix? Thanks.

Do you think that this question comes from a person who has not read through all OpenGL related docs and specs?
