I am fairly new to programming and wanted to start game programming. I believe I have figured out the basics of making a game but I can't for the life of me figure out opengl, I would rather use opengl instead of directx. If somebody could please point me to a good beginners guide to opengl (along the lines of"opengl for complete morons") I would be very appreciative. Thanks in advance, JDUDE

NeHe's tutorials have been the favorite resource for beginning OGL programmers: http://nehe.gamedev.net. I also highly recommend getting a book on the subject -- books can be read off the computer and generally explain things in more depth.

Good Luck!
