Per Pixel Lighting - TexCoordinates for 1d and 2d textures map!

Hi all! anyone ever wonder how the 1d texture looks like once it as been rendered? screenshot for the 2d texture: http://www.hymedia.ca/ax6/temp/2dtex.jpg screenshot for the 1d texture: http://www.hymedia.ca/ax6/temp/1dtex.jpg is the 1d texture should look like this??? well, the result look a bit strange ... http://www.hymedia.ca/ax6/temp/ppl.jpg dont you guys think the top of the cube should look like the sides? the 1d texture doesnt seam to behave as it should! in fact, I dont realy understand why and how the texture 1d should be used! anyone can clear this up? THX thx for your time!
