NVidia shadow mapping changed from GeForce FX?

Hi, My 'NVidia-style HW' shadow mapping works fine on GeForce 3/4 Ti cards but has some problems on GeForce FX cards. (Using 1.1 shaders). I read somewhere the drivers now expect D3DTTFF_PROJECTED | COUNT3 but this still leaves some weird effect like the shadow isn't 'cleared' every frame (the shadow renders fine but they're accumulated, roughly the same effect you'd get when you don't clear the back buffer and can see the previous frames data). Any thoughts? What exactly is different from the Ti <-> FX cards? Thanks! Mark
