SemiTransparent Surfaces

I just was Wondering if someone Know how to Make Semi-Transparent Surfaces Using DirectDraw 9 i'm using DIRECTDRAWSURFACEs. i've read about bitBlit and Changing the color of the pixels depending the backimage to get the efect but that seems to not work with DIRECTDRAWSURFACES because the DirectXSDK help has no information about the bitBlt method i hope someone could help me (:P) I´m not so advance in this but have the idea and sorry about my english i only speak spanish but i try to make sense to my words

Maybe you should try the beginners forum? What you're looking for is alphablending. There should be a article here on GDnet on alphablending directdraw surfaces.
