In what way does your map not look professional?

Some general points that I have encountered with level design in general:
- Use many different textures, but they should all fit together
- Mak sure that you add many details, such as curved doorways for example, that often makes it look a little less 'fake'
- Make sure you have some detail textures - cracks in walls and such
- Don't make the level look 'made', such as cube rooms. Make them look more real - take a look at your own room and environment so see how buildings are really formed.

/edit: forgot one of the more important things:
- Add stuff to the level. Chairs, tables, decorations, paintaings, but don't add them if they don't fit in the setting.
