At the top most level...yeah, pretty good. You've kept everything seperate from each other, and you appear to know what you are doing.

One little detail you may wish to make double-sure about, is the "Game world" and "Graphics engine" - make sure they are seperate from one another. Its very easy to mold them together, so take extra care.

Best of luck with the game.

Looks good, the next step may be to try and model it all in UML.

That helps u with getting the structure right.

I vote for a generalised resource system:

[ResourceLoader] +----------> [2D Graphics]
|load() | |
|unload() | |
|find() | |
+----------+ |
^ |
| +---------> [3D Graphics]
| |
| +---------> [Sound Engine]
[Resource]
|load() |
|unload()|
+---+----+
|
+---- [Sound Effect Res]
|
+---- [Music Res]
|
+---- [Image Res] --- [Texture Res]
|
+---- [3D Model Res]
|
+---- [Particle Script Res]
|
+----- ....

He he, looking at that image i got an idea. To all those clueless mmorpg posts at "help wanted" instead of telling them it's hard, and why, and wasting a lot of time explaning and they end up not beliving and dive in anyway. Ppl should just link them to that image, that would give them a clue. =)

Just a quick note that your physics and math "engines" will probably share a "world state" and be tightly coupled with the gfx engine. Not sure if you need to emphasize that on your diagram though.
