Hey, I just recently got an internship for the summer and I will be coding in C and Motif. I currently know C++ and Java so I am not new to the programming world. Which books would be best for me to learn C and Motif? Thanks!

C will be a serious throwback from your C++ habits... it's not an object oriented language. It won't be difficult for you to learn tho; C was C++'s predecessor, and the two languages are (virtually) the same.

As for books, try the Waite group's C Primer Plus, and as for Motif... well I don't have any idea about Motif, as I don't know anyone in their right mind who programs straight Motif (instead of using GTK or QT widget sets).
