December 2004 SDK does NOT support VC6

Back to the main topic tho; I prefer using VC6 just because there's not a whole bunch of crap I'll probably never use in there and I did most of my learning with VC6. It's a shame that the new SDK won't support VC6, but really I don't blame Microsoft for trying to push they're updated versions of products, every business needs to keep that money comming in.

All off-topic posts have been deleted. If you think OpenGL is better, cool. Use it. If you think SDL is better, cool. Use it. This thread wasn't created for that. And it's now closed.

As for why MS cut support for VC6:
- Dropping costs: They don't want to keep testing stuff on VC6 to make sure it woroks
- Outdated: Doesn't have any of the new security features. What's annoying here is that when MS ships unsecure products, they're flamed. When they don't, they're flamed.
