I made a bigger update to my mario game. Now he jumps at a normal rate. I have not figured out how to make the player release the jump key before they can jump again. It also has music and SFX. Dont mind what my site says about pong as I have not uploaded the new version yet. Please check it out and tell me what you think. My Site

Some new issues:
-The demo causes my system's wave volume to increase when it's launched.
-The player drops too fast

Now, about that debouncing issue. What I typically do in my games, is associate a flag with the player ability to jump called something like "jump_lock". When the flag is set the player can no longer ascend. This flag should be set under the following conditions:

-The player is descending after a jump
-The player walks off a platform

In some games, the flag would be set when head (during ascent) comes into contact with the bottom of a platform. Seeing as how SMB does this, you'll probably want to do the same.

"jump_lock" should only be cleared when the player lands onto a platform and the jump button is released.
