Adding to the global messages

I wana write a program that will set up some keyboard and mouse macros to be played by a single keystroke. the problem is i want to be able to use theese macros for a peice of software i didnt write. Is there a way to actually add messages into the global windows messages so that the program will pick em up without me having to HACK it. i cant hack :( . also anyway to deal with my program not having focus? i know GetAsyncKeystate can get key input for an app out focus but i cant seem to get the mouse input for the program when it is out of focus. sorry if this isnt clear im tired and on my way to BED!!! ps:: this is for the windows os;
