Problems taking screenshots of my game

How am I supposed to get screenshots of my game if DirectInput has taken control of the keyboard and therefore disallowing the PrintScreen message to get through to windows. I am using DirectDraw in Dx9 in C#... right now I am releasing input...anyone got any ideas?

Could you have a key that, when pressed, causes the current buffer to get written to a file? BMP output is very easy (in fact, input/output is about all that BMP is good for). Actually, I wouldn't be surprised if Dx has file output already (not that I know anything about DirectX, mind you).

I mean that messages such as PrintScreen never get to the computer. The only things that get through are alt-tab, ctrl-alt-del and alt-f4...

Maybe you can manually place a message in the application's message queue.

something like:
SendMesssage(hWnd, WM_KEYDOWM, VK_SNAPSHOT, 0);
