Does anybody here know any game theory. Im thinking of reading some of John Conway's stuff. It might be useful in AI design. PS: Im in pre-calc honors, i don't know what level math is needed to understand it. Do you think I need to learn more math first?

I read "On Numbers And Games" about a year ago. The book doesn't assume that you know much about math, but I think it can be pretty frustrating if you aren't used to reading math.

I think it's a fantastic book, but I don't think you are going to get many ideas for AI. It's not like his theories don't have applications. I read "Mathematical Go", by Berlekamp and Wolfe, several years ago, where Conway-style game theory is used to analyze endgames in Go.
