VMR9 & Direct3d problem

Hello, I am rendering video from webcam on direct3d texture using vmr9 (custom allocator). Image is displayed almost correctly in both full screen and windowed mode - except a rectangle at top left (see screenshot) http://www.fcs.com.pl/Clipboard01.jpg This rectangle seems to be exactly the size of camera video mode I have chosen. (e.g. 320x240) I have almost certainly messed up something in d3d setup or allocator. I'd be grateful for any suggestions how to solve it. kubad
