Hi, i tried to update my Visual Studio Academic via "Help->Check for Updates" but it doesn't work because of the following error: "Visual Studio .NET 2002 setup encountered errors while attempting to download required files. Check your Web browser configuration settings and your connection hardware, and try again." If i try a second time it says: "No new Service Releases are available. Your system is up-to-date." How can i update my vs? thx Quak

Alot of the components which are used in VS.NET that change are things like .NET, DirectX Runtime etc... Those are updated via Windows Update. When service packs come out for *just* the 'VS.NET 2002' IDE then I bet it would show up there.

Just open the .sln file and look for "Format Version 8.00"
and just change it to 7.1 or 7.0 or sth...

At least it's worth a try... I also think there are little
programs which can convert workspaces (even back to vs6)..

Regards
