getting the plain of an object for collision tests

hi all. im still working on getting collision detection working. im using a bounding sphere for my charachter and a bounding box for my walls. the problem im having is trying to identify what vertices of each wall is the one my charachter will bump into. theres no point in testing the back of the walls as the charachter will never hit them. also, im having a problem getting the plain that my charachter will hit from the wall. i want to get the plain of each wall, and test if my charachters bounding sphere has colided with it. all i have of the wall is an array containing the co-ordinates of the wall transformed into world space: worldBounds = Vector3.TransformCoordinate(objectBounds,device.Transform.World); how do i get the required data from this array?im using c# and directX9
