OpenGL DirectX SetPrivateData

Hello, I made a function where the user has to pass data so it can also load textures on it's own. In OpenGL it is already working perfect but all the info I can find on SetPrivateData function isn't enough to explain it exactly.

	GUID guid;

	CurrentImgNr ++;
	dx_Textures.resize(CurrentImgNr + 1);
	Image->imgnr = CurrentImgNr;
	Image->Alpha = 255;
	Image->RotDeg = 0;

	dx_Textures[CurrentImgNr]->SetPrivateData(guid, Data, sizeof(Data), NULL);

	return 0;
}

First of all what is GUID ? Second of all what am I doing wrong that it locks up ? ( An xp program crash dialog )
