hello all, at first i want to say sorry about my english, i have a project called "fight the engine", its a 3d-multi-player-shooter, in the actual state i´m working 8 month on it. and here is the link to the actual version http://www.goalkeeper2004.de/data/stadion_viper_WWW_PVS_upload.exe ok, there is many information on my webside, but everything is in german... sorry but here also some screenshots http://www.goalkeeper2004.de/fight_the_engine/ i know there is a problem on some maschines, on my computers everything is fine, when you have the problem and are interessent to solve this with me, i will be happy about a message... greetings paul [Edited by - 2paul on January 4, 2005 4:57:34 AM]

oh, this wasn´t the reason to post here,
i looking for people who have this problem,
and are interessed to fix it with me.

but now its done, so i will try to give you a little bit more information about myselve and the project.

i am diplom informatic, the project is written in blitz3d,
and with a little proud i can say, its the biggest blitz3d-game-project worldwide.

at the beginning a small information, the character which is in the multiplayer visible, its taken from CS,
i only put it in for testing purpose. the rest the weapons,maschines and levels are done be me.

textures are taken from blazeer http://blaz.csbanana.com/
music is done by dlmusic http://www.daniel-laufer.de/
skyboxes are taken from http://63.249.155.229/Aeon/gallery.html
everything with permission.

the 3d-stuff is created with cinema4d and then exported and lightmapped with giles http://www.frecle.net/giles/

the most power i spend in the AI-System.
because i want a multiplayer, that often make fun to fight against a inelligent maschine.
the AI-system isn´t finish yet.
the maschine moves totaly free through the levels.
and have allways different startpoints, so there are never 2 same games.

so this was my small presentation,
there is so much information in german,
i cant translate it all,

i will be happy about help and comments

the game swiched to fullscreen mode, showed some messages and played music, then escaped to the desktop with 'Error! Memory access violation' message.

system specs: duron 800, 512mb ram, radeon 8500.

thx for your reply, yes this is the mistake.
the system is not the problem,
i have a Duron 600 with 256MB for testing,

maybe you can tell me the last message you can see,
before the "Memory Access Violation" come.

as far as i can see the last message is 'Glass Loaded'.
checked in both 16bit and 32bit modes.

thanks happybara, we fix the problem together,

i upload the update here. its an selfeextrakting archiv,
you only have to replace the .exe file und the /level/stadion_allianz/config/global.txt, then it should work on every system.
when there is still a problem, i will be happy about a short comment

maybe one more question,
i still looking for people, who are interessed in this project, who want to test the game in the internet, it work in the LAN, this i have testet very much.
and the connect to the webserver, to find the online-server although work fine, but i still don´t have a realy game in the net.

will be happy about messages...
