changing display window size without zooming out

I need view a larger part of the screen...that means when i pull the display window to a larger size , i dont want the same content is shown just in a larger size, but i want to see more of the scene... just as if you look at the same scene only through a bigger window...how can i do that...?

but this is exactly what i dont want. of course there is more displayed in the window if i increase the fov parameter, but also the objects get smaller...and this i want to avoid

just the ordinary opengl commands...

glutInitDisplayMode(GLUT_DEPTH | GLUT_DOUBLE | GLUT_RGB | GLUT_ALPHA);
glutInitWindowPosition(100,100);
glutInitWindowSize(try->tubbyScreen.width,try->tubbyScreen.height);

...

That would be GLUT then. GLUT isn't part of OpenGL BTW; it's just a framework. OpenGL doesn't deal with Windows at all. I'm not sure how you'd change the window size with GLUT (perhaps you could consult the relevant docs), but if you want to view a larger area then you'd need to change the window size and adjust the FOV (as mentioned above) proportionately. That way, the size of the projected objects in your world won't change, but you'll be able to see a wider field of view.
