Windows NT has DirectX built into it, right? Which version of DirectX is in there? And do Windows 2000/ME have DirectX built in as well? -Ironblayde  Aeon Software The following sentence is true.

I believe WinNT has dx 3.0. While Windows ME/2000 have dx 7.0? Not too sure, but the dx 3.0 on WinNT is why you never see many games on NT.
WinNT has Dx3 I think, at least when you install up to service pack 3 it does. Win2k has DX7 as does ME.
Win2K comes with DirectX7. That''s what I do my home development on. SP3 brought DirectX3 to NT4 I believe. There is a hack floating around that allows DirectX5 on NT4.

No, you're wrong, DirectX 5.0 isn't the best API to use. You should use Glide.

In time the project grows, the ignorance of its devs it shows, with many a convoluted function, it plunges into deep compunction, the price of failure is high, Washu's mirth is nigh.

Who uses graphics API's? I just write my own display driver.
