Hi all, I am currently making a 2d tile enigne using OpenGL for Gfx (probably gonna add support for D3D aswell). Now I am wondering if anyone has any links to articles on how to make the gfx as fast as possible. What I am after is tips on how to get most out of the gxf card. What things to do when drawing triangles and what to avoid, what stuff that take up time in modern 3d cards ,stuff like that. Thanks in advance!

The above sites contain a very vast amount of information regarding graphics performance optimization.

It is impossible to list all possible bottlenecks here, since there are million little things that affect graphics speed. Furthermore, all those things are in connection with the others, so one efficient pattern is usually very difficult to isolate from the possibilities.
