EventHandlers in Custom Classes in C#

Is there a way to add an event handler to a self-made class that fires off when something happens? I can't think of the example I had before but I know I was thinking of this question. I am using C#. Thanks!

Awesome. Thanks!! I was also wondering though...although it has more to do with DirectX. I was wondering if there was anyway to find an active class in memory. More specifically if a Device exists in memory such as a DirectSound device. Or even a class in general...say like a class that creates the DirectSound device...
