Direct3D textures and Device independent bitmaps...

Hello. Does anybody have any sample code for making Device Independent Bitmaps from the bits of a Direct3D texture? I am trying to figure this out but the GDI is confusing me a bit. Even if someone could give me a brief overview of the steps required that would be extremely useful. Thanks in advance. Kind regards. Mark Coleman
