OpenGL Triangle Count Function via OpenGL

Is there an openGl function that i can call to get the number of polygons being rendered per frame, or per second? Or do i have to kepp track of that myself?

thats a keep track of if yourself job, however even then its going to be an approx. value unless you take into account all clipping and other such things, so its more a 'triangles send to the gfx card per frame (or second)'
