3DsMax Exporter -- ParamBlock Question

I am not sure how to use the paramblock to find info on material specific values...like finding the amount of a blend in a blend material..and or whether maps are being used or not...does anyone have any resources on getting/using IParamBlock2 other than 3dsmax SDK? Jeremy

Check out chunk 0xA210 for opacity mapping, if that's what your looking for. Here are the exact details. All material info starts at chunk ID 0xAFFF.

I am not using the .3ds file structure i am working on my own and i need to get the paramblock2 to get info on blend operation mix amount and whether a mask map is included....the link u gave me was leaning towards 3dsmax's file structure...thanks for the link anyways:-)
