DSound Issue .. Again

I am utterly lost. I've tried DSound and FMOD and noting seems to work ! To explain better .. Wot I've done is to wrap DSound / FMOD into a DLL for use in my managed code (C#). When I use the dll in a windows app for eg , it works smashingly .. no worries. When I use the DLL in my game , each sound plays for an instance , then stops abruptly ... its rather annoying that NO error messages are given , although , when I query the status of the sound , the struct return indicates that it is playing (looping). Has anybody else had similar problems ? Could it perhaps be managed code ? My game currently is using +-90% of the CPU.
