I'm writing a simple sound system for our commercial game and I seem to have some problems with DirectSound OGG Streaming. I'm using the standard ogg vorbis SDK to decode ogg's and my own DirectSound routines to stream / play the data. The problem i've encountered is that if I stream an ogg from disk and plays a static soundbuffer at the same time, my stream is freaking out. This problem only occurs if the stream-buffer is created using DSBCAPS_LOCHARDWARE. This made me check my Directsound Caps and I found out that my soundcard had no "dwTotalHwMemBytes". How does that work? How can I create hardware (DSBCAPS_LOCHARDWARE) buffers with no "dwTotalHwMemBytes"?
