[java] Microbenchmarking in Java

I've decided to post this with the intentions that others can understand what's really occuring behind the scenes. I wish people would be more critical with microbenchmarks in languges such as C# and Java, which are dynamically compiled.

Good article, I'm looking forward to the actual benchmark.

I just tried this "-server" flag and it gave a few more FPS.

Thanks for the link, that was a great article. Not only did it help explain some puzzling benchmarks I've seen, but it was a nice overview of how java compilers actually work.
