I am making a GUI for a game I am working on, and was wondering what the best way to get input for a textbox is. Right now I am just passing the WPARAM from my winproc function to my gui and checking for arrow keys, backspace, delete before adding the text to the textbox caption. However this is not perfect as anything other than a letter does not show up and the num pad keys don't work properly. I have tried using WM_CHAR instead of WM_KEYDOWN but this does not store the arrow keys or delete. How would you recommend I do this?
