DX mesh

Hi all, What's the best way for a 3d engine: the DX mesh classes or your own mesh classes. How is the performance of the DX mesh classes and do they have some disadvantages? thx in advance [Edited by - codehunter13 on February 8, 2005 7:44:23 AM]

Concerning speed, the directx classes are pretty much the fastest you can get (the fastest generic classes can get).
You could write your own mesh class if you feel you could improve the speed or if you are in need of functionality the dx mesh class cannot provide.
