OpenGL Mpeg4 to Opengl!

hi all! ne1 using dvix decoder? i ve found DivxDecoder.dll in World of Warcraft root and i went to divx web site... team support refered me too http://labs.divx.com/archives/000052.html (they dont talk that much) dowload it... nothing make sens to at all... not a usual library if u ask me... im definytly no exper coder but i ve use many library so far... and i cant make my way throught this one!!! what am i missing here? I got this too... DIVX 5.1.1 FOR WINDOWS SDK but theres only header files and pdf... our need are to access the dvix library... no need for floffy or mixer or else... only requiere load/decode mpeg ... the goal is to integrate mpeg4 video in an opengl frame work! thx

There is the SDL Mpeg library or Smpeg which is supposed to be fully cross platform, but no one can seem to get it to work on windows.

There does exist need for a cross platform movie library I think.

hi khaos!

we re using sdl to support our opengl frame work...

refering to their toc:

cant find mpeg features so far!

maybe you have more info on this?

If you want to play a video file to an OpenGL texture or window, you don't need to do any Divx-specific stuff (other than installing the codec, of course)... just use the VFW libraries to do all the work. IIRC, there's a tutorial for this at nehe.gamedev.net.

No. VFW means Video for Windows.
