glut & texture

when I use glut 3.7, the texturemapping doesnt work correct in hardware accelerated mode. The textures begin blinking when I`m moving over the surface. In non-accelerated mode, everything works fine. I`ve got a TNT 1 with new drivers, win98, PII300 sb knows the problem?

maybe u need to use mipmaps?
or glHint(GL_PERSPECTIVE_CORRECTION_HINT,GL_NICEST);
