for skool i am planning on programming a simple single player diablo II type game, no wheres near as complex but stuff like moving around in a world, killing guys, items, ect. But the thing is i dont no how blizz layed out everything. Is it 2d or 3d? u cant change the screen position but u can stand behind stuff. I was then thinking that it is a world just bad graphics and not many models with a tilted camera angle. could someone tell me how they do it?? thx in advance jake

The world is composed of sprites and tiles, afaik. It is rendered in either DirectDraw or in Direct3D (user preference).
